T-4 weeks.

So it has officially been over two years since I created this blog and actually wrote a post! I'd say that this update is extremely overdue, but hey, better late than never :) With the expected arrival of our first child in a month, I figured it's time to start documenting this journey... especially with so many of our friends and family living so far away. So here is a little rundown of what has been going on as of recent in the Stein household - As of December 2012 Eric accepted a police officer position in Oregon, and before you know it we were making the move! Eric moved first as he had a short time to report to work. It was quite a sudden change, but we were so excited for him to finally begin his dream career. It was a long time coming, but things were finally piecing themselves together.
As the new job offer came so unexpectedly, it completely threw off our Christmas plans. I didn't want to miss a Christmas with my hubby, so I scheduled a last minute flight for Christmas day so I could spend some time with my family, as well as the remainder of the day with Eric. Luckily the flight from Vegas to Portland is shy of 2 hours long, so it wasn't too bad at all. I stayed and visited for about a week to get a feel for this new place we would be calling "home". By the time I returned to Vegas I was so consumed with packing up our apartment, work, and job hunting, that I was completely delirious to the fact that I was apparently creating a human! Who would have thought?! On moving day we had tons of family and friends come over and help us put all of our belongings in storage until we had an official plan of what to do next...
Needless to say, we packed everything into this storage unit, and an hour later I thought, "maaaaaybe I should take a test."

Welp. To my surprise that positive sign came through pretty clear! I followed Eric up to Oregon in early April and have since been preparing for this bundle of joy that has been kicking non-stop in my tummy :) We are so excited to be parents and to meet our little Gabriel Tobias. I'm sure he is just going to be the cutest little momma's boy :) Time has already flown by so fast, that I can only imagine how fast this last month will go. 36 weeks down, 4 to go!!
