So it's official, we have finally jumped on the "blog"wagon. Seems that everyone else in the world has one, so why shouldn't we? Let's be real, though, surely Eric will have nothing to do with posting on here, but at least one of us will keep our friends and families updated on our life in the desert :)
So here's what has been going on in our neck of the woods: Ever since all the wedding buzz simmered, Eric + I have been working non-stop. We both love our jobs, yet it wouldn't hurt to have a little more time together. Mismatched schedules absolutely DO NOT mesh well with newlyweds. We have been making the best of it, though, having date nights on Eric's days off (which happen to fall in the middle of my work week), and tweaking things here and there to try and make more time for one another. Eric has slowly but surely become more appreciative of left-overs & The Bachelorette, while I've had to re-arrange my sleeping hours a little - but let's just face it, as hard as I may try, I will never be a night-owl like my Stein boy :)
Besides the lack of time, things have been great! We love our apartment and are planning on being here for some time, so we've been doing a lot of DYI projects to spiff the place up a bit and make it more "us". Although he may not like fronting the bill, I can't say Eric is really complaining about all of our last minute trips to Lowe's.. it's like taking a kid to a candy shop! I really am a lucky wife though, because unlike many men, Eric is great at fixing things (and sometimes breaking, but hey, we all have our moments) - but even when he does break things, he typically can re-fix it, and he always finds some clever way in doing so - so in the end we're both happy campers.
